Fluorocarbon Surfactant 1630 accurately addresses the industry pain points of traditional coatings and paints, including poor wetting, inadequate leveling, frequent defects and weak stability.

Addressing numerous pain points of traditional coating formulations, Fluorosurfactant 1630 serves as a key functional additive for optimizing coating and paint formulas by virtue of its core strengths including ultrahigh surface activity, excellent dispersibility, and superior thermal and chemical resistance. It can partially or fully replace traditional wetting and leveling agents at low dosages, comprehensively resolve construction challenges on low-surface-energy substrates, greatly improve the overall performance of coatings, and is compatible with all coating systems such as primers, topcoats and high-temperature-resistant industrial paints.
Compared with ordinary surfactants, the most prominent advantage of Fluorosurfactant 1630 lies in its exceptional capacity to reduce surface tension. For coating systems modified with conventional additives, the surface tension can hardly drop below 28 mN/m, making it impossible to fully spread and wet dense, smooth substrates with low surface energy. In contrast, a tiny dosage of Fluorosurfactant 1630 can rapidly lower the surface tension of coating systems to 15–18 mN/m, thoroughly eliminating poor wetting of coatings on plastics, fluorinated materials and mirror-finish metals. It enables uniform spreading of coatings, fundamentally eliminates construction defects such as craters, pinholes, substrate exposure and mottled films, and markedly enhances the flatness and high-gloss finish of paint surfaces.
In terms of pigment and filler dispersion stability, Fluorosurfactant 1630 delivers outstanding emulsifying and dispersing capabilities. Pigments and fillers in coating systems including titanium dioxide, talc and color powders tend to agglomerate and precipitate due to intermolecular attraction, resulting in layered coatings during storage and uneven color application during construction. This additive can rapidly adsorb onto the surface of powder particles to form a stable steric hindrance structure, effectively breaking up agglomerated powder clusters and evenly distributing pigments, fillers and powder resins throughout the coating system. It not only prevents stratification and sedimentation of coatings during long-term storage and drastically boosts storage stability, but also produces uniform, rich film colors while improving the hiding power and decorative effect of coatings.
Tailored for harsh industrial construction environments, Fluorosurfactant 1630 features excellent chemical stability against high temperatures, acids, alkalis and solvents, perfectly meeting the formulation requirements of high-temperature-resistant industrial paints, anti-corrosion coatings and industrial topcoats. Coatings modified with this additive form a dense and stable film structure after curing, significantly enhancing the coating’s resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, extreme temperatures, contamination and adhesion, as well as weatherability. It effectively extends the service life of industrial equipment and outdoor coatings and addresses the drawbacks of traditional films, which are prone to contamination, aging and poor corrosion resistance.
For formulation applications, Fluorosurfactant 1630 is characterized by low addition dosage, high cost performance and broad compatibility. Conventional coating systems only require a minimal dosage of 0.05%–0.2% to fully or partially substitute traditional wetting and leveling agents without impairing the coating’s inherent basic properties such as viscosity, curing speed and transparency. It is compatible with waterborne, solvent-borne and solvent-free paint and coating systems, features simple process adaptation with no need to adjust existing production workflows, and boasts extremely high practical implementability.
